FH UNUD Encourages and Protects Intellectual Property for Ketewel Village Community

Gianyar, FLUNUD.ac.id - MBKM Bina Desa Ketewel 2024 FH UNUD held an Intellectual Property Opening and Socialization activity with the theme "Voicing the Importance of Intellectual Property", which was held at Wantilan Pura Payogan Agung, Ketewel Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar on Saturday (27/04 / 2024). This activity was opened by the lecturer of MBKM Bina Desa Ketewel FH Unud, Dr. I Dewa Ayu Dwi Mayasari, SH, MH. This Ketewel Village Development activity was carried out because it saw the potential in Ketewel Village which could be raised in the MBKM Bina Desa Work Program. One of the potentials is the traditional dance artwork that has been inherited from generation to generation but has not been recorded as a Communal Intellectual Work (KIK). It is important to do socialization and then inventoried and recorded as KIK to help the government by also collaborating with FH UNUD lecturers.

The four speakers in the IP socialization session consisted of Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan. SH, M.Hum., LLM and Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM (Lecturer of FH UNUD) as well as Made Prama Dyanti Kusumasinda and Ratih Rosmayuani (Legal Counselor from Bali Regional Office of Kemenkumham RI). I Putu Gede Widya Kusuma Negara, S.H. (Perbekel Desa Ketewel), Representative of Bendesa Desa Adat Ketewel and Ketewel Village officials who were also present and did not forget the Jro maestro, previous dancers and parties who were also involved in the intellectual property to be recorded. 

The socialization activity was immediately continued by conducting an iventarization of the potential KIK that wanted to be recorded, namely "Ratu Dari Dance" which was guided directly by Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan. SH, M.Hum., LLM, Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM along with a team of lecturers and students by interviewing Jro Mangku Gede, Mr. Perbekel Desa Ketewel, Representative of Bendesa Desa Adat Ketewel, Previous dancers, Sekaa Gong, cultural teachers and other related parties. The purpose of direct iventarization after socialization is as a form of research called action review with the hope of accelerating the recording process. By doing this, the Ketewel village community hopes that this recording can run smoothly and the hereditary dance heritage will get legal protection.
