ALSA English Legal Practice 2023 "Resolving Conflicts: The Power of Mediation and Arbitration"

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - Asian Student's Association Local Chapter (ALSA) English Legal Practice 2023 is a program organized by ALSA Local Chapter (LC) UNUD. This program carries the theme "Resolving Conflicts: The Power of Mediation and Arbitration" and was held on Sunday (11/06/2023) at the FH Unud Denpasar Hall offline and online through Zoom Meeting and YouTube. This program is a collaboration between ALSA LC UNUD with Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center (BIAMC), and Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) which is currently holding the YLC Goes to Campus program.

The event began with remarks from the Project Officer of ALSA English Legal Practice 2023 (Sakuntala Dwilania Mandayani) and continued with remarks from the Director of ALSA LC UNUD (Gilang Febrian Valentino) who also opened the event. Next, the program featured a video from the Keynote Speaker, Dr. (H.C.) Ir. Airlangga Hartanto, M.B.A., M.M.T., IPU. (Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for the Economy). The program was divided into 2 sessions, where the first session was a seminar session with speaker Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, S.H., M.Hum., (Co-Founder and Advisor of Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Centre / Lab Lecturer / International Law Section FH UNUD). Then, the second session, a workshop session that began with the presentation of material by the second speaker from the Young Lawyers Committee, Ni Made Anggre Astari, S.H., AIADR. (International Arbitration Advocate & Practitioner). The workshop session was followed by a roleplay session where participants played the role of arbitrators and legal counsel for the disputing parties, accompanied by three facilitators, namely: I Komang Darmayasa, S.H., M.H., Gede Agung Wirawan Nusantara, S.H., M.H., C.L.A. and I Gede Ketut Alit Putra Jayantara, S.H.
