Section 1

About the Program

The Master of Law Study Program is designed for law graduates and graduates of related disciplines who wish to deepen their mastery of advanced legal theory, doctrine, and practice. The curriculum emphasizes rigorous legal research, structured academic writing, and the ability to analyze contemporary legal issues across disciplines.

Vision

To become a Master of Law Study Program that serves as a center for the development of legal science and produces Master of Law graduates who are excellent, independent, culturally grounded, and globally minded by 2029.

Mission

  1. To provide education that develops law graduates into honest, high-quality, creative, and competitive masters of law, in line with local, national, regional, and international needs, in accordance with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the National Higher Education Standards (SN Dikti), while upholding national culture within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
  2. To develop legal research and community service based on current issues and community needs, and to increase national and international scientific publications for the advancement of legal science.
  3. To strengthen human resource capacity toward excellent service and stakeholder satisfaction.
  4. To improve and optimize the use of internationally standardized facilities and infrastructure.
  5. To strengthen governance, accountability, and organizational structure that is efficient, effective, transparent, and accountable.
  6. To expand partnerships with various parties to improve the quality of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).

Taught by judges, senior advocates, and legal scholars who are actively handling cases and publishing in accredited journals.

The teaching method prioritizes the discussion of court rulings and real-world case studies.

Personal Research Supervision

Every student is guided by one supervisor from the first semester to accelerate thesis completion.

Professional Network

Access to an alumni network spread across courts, law firms, corporations, and government institutions.

Students choose one area of concentration in the second semester, while taking core law courses together.

Graduate Profile

Academic and Legal Researcher

Graduates with foundational legal research skills and critical thinking, capable of producing early scholarly work as a basis for further study or involvement in the development of legal science.

Professional Legal Practitioner and Consultant

Graduates who can serve as advocates, legal consultants, legal drafters, contract drafters, mediators, or legal experts in government or private institutions.

Law Enforcer of Integrity

Graduates who can serve as judges, prosecutors, police officers, investigators, or other legal officials who uphold professional ethics and the values of justice.

Public Legal Policy Analyst and Drafter

Graduates who can work in government, ministries/agencies, or international organizations as regulation drafters, legal program managers, or liaisons between law and public policy.
