ALSA's Down to the Village 2024 Program: Gunaksa Village, Klungkung Regency, Bali

Klungkung, FLUNUD.ac.id - The Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA) Local Chapter (LC) Unud Turun Desa 2024 Work Program has been carried out in Gunaksa Village, Klungkung Regency, Bali on 11-12 October 2024 with the main focus on education and community empowerment in Gunaksa Village and village digitalization in collaboration with Bank Indonesia.

The implementation of ALSA Turun Desa 2024 began with teaching English to elementary school children in Gunaksa Village which took place in all elementary schools in Gunaksa Village, namely, SD Inti 1 Gunaksa, SD Negeri 2 Gunaksa, and SD Negeri 3 Gunaksa. The event continued with seminars and workshops on the utilization of coconut fiber as planting media and compost in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University and Health Checks in collaboration with Janar Ambassador Medical Assistance, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and ended with the distribution of 100 basic necessities to the people of Banjar Buayang with a total of Rp.5,254,000 from donations and sponsors to the people of Gunaksa Village, especially those in Banjar Buayang. 

The second day of ALSA Turun Desa 2024 was held by focusing on building togetherness with local villagers through village cleaning activities, as well as competitions held with the Banjar Buayang community. Apart from that, ALSA Turun Desa 2024 also collaborated with Bank Indonesia for the creation of QRIS, account opening, and mobile banking aimed at digitizing payments in Gunaksa Village.
