Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id – A community service activity was organized by the FH Unud Faculty Team with the theme “Introduction to the Characteristics of Potential Disputes in Companies and Mechanisms for Resolving Them for Prospective Workers in the Tourism Sector,” held at SMK Ratna Wartha, Gianyar, on Wednesday (06/08/2025). This activity was aimed at final-year students preparing to enter the workforce, particularly in the tourism industry, which is characterized by dynamic labor relations.

The outreach program was conducted by a team led by the head of the outreach program, along with the team as speakers, and representatives from the Faculty of Law at Unud. In their presentations, the speakers discussed various types of disputes commonly encountered in the workplace, such as disputes over rights, disputes over interests, termination of employment (PHK), and disputes between individuals in the workplace. Additionally, the speakers explained the mechanisms for resolving such disputes, both through non-litigation methods such as mediation and bipartite negotiations, as well as through litigation via the Industrial Relations Court.

The Principal of SMK Ratna Wartha welcomed this initiative and stated that knowledge of labor law is very important for students, especially considering the tourism sector as the primary career choice for graduates of this school. “We hope that students can understand their rights and obligations before entering the workforce, so they can be better prepared mentally and legally,” she said.

This activity is part of FH Unud’s efforts to strengthen the role of legal education based on community service, as well as to expand legal literacy among the public, particularly among young people who are prospective workers in strategic sectors such as tourism. This activity is part of the implementation of the university’s tri-dharma, particularly in the field of community service, where FH Unud bridges the academic world with practical needs in society.
