Klungkung, FLUNUD.ac.id – The Udayana University Community Service and Research Institute (LP2M Unud) held an International Partnership Program and Community Engagement (IPACOE) event in August 2025 with the theme of Paralegal Training for the Rapid Resolution of Minor Legal Issues in Rural Communities. This activity was a training program for village officials in Getakan Village, Banjarangkan District, Klungkung, to serve as peacemakers, mediators, and supporters of access to justice so that they could later assist the village community in resolving minor legal issues in the village.

The event opened with remarks from the Head of the IPACOE Team (Bima Kumara Dwi Atmaja, SH., MH.), followed by remarks from the Head of Getakan Village (Cokorda Putra Parwata, SH.). Those attending the event as participants included the Head of the Village Council, traditional leaders, the Head of the Community Empowerment Agency, members of the Family Welfare Movement, hamlet heads in Getakan Village, villagers, and students participating in the Getakan Village Community Service Program.

First speaker: I Gede Adi Saputra, SH., MH. (Representative from the Ministry of Law who presented material on the role of legal professionals in villages and how they can carry out their strategic position as parties who can help resolve minor legal issues in villages. Second speaker: Dr. I Nyoman Prabu Buana Rumiartha, SH., MH. (Chair of the Legal Consultation and Assistance Institute, Faculty of Law, Udayana University) with material on various types of minor legal violations and how to handle cases so that they do not have to be resolved by law enforcement or the courts. Third speaker: I Wayan Arya Kurniawan, SH., M.Kn. (Klungkung Notary), who presented material on the settlement of land cases in villages through mediation. And fourth speaker: Gilang Nugraha (student at Melbourne Law School, Australia) who provided various materials on case settlement through mediation.
