Gianyar, FLUNUD.ac.id – As part of efforts to enhance legal awareness among the younger generation, a Community Service activity was conducted with the theme: “Introduction to Legal Aspects, Preventive Measures, and Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in Online Gambling Issues Among Students.” The event took place on Wednesday (August 6, 2025) at SMA Negeri 1 Ubud, Gianyar.

The school principal of SMA Negeri 1 Ubud warmly welcomed this initiative. During the presentation session, the FH Unud Community Service Team, led by Made Cinthya Puspita Shara, S.H., M.H., and representatives from FH Unud students, provided insights to teenagers regarding actions and behaviors that may have legal implications, as well as the dispute resolution processes that can be pursued.

This activity aims to provide a systematic understanding of the legal and social impacts of online gambling, which is increasingly prevalent among students. During the presentation, the speakers emphasized that although students are categorized as minors, they can still be subject to criminal penalties under the provisions of the Criminal Code, the Child Justice System Act, and the Information and Transactions Act. In addition to discussing regulations, the awareness campaign also introduced restorative and preventive approaches, such as strengthening the role of families and character education in schools. This activity is expected to serve as a concrete step in protecting students from the growing threat of online gambling in the digital age.
