Community Service: Understanding Legal Aspects of Credit Guarantees in Rural Credit Institutions in the Kuta District

Kuta, FLUNUD.ac.id – The Community Service and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity with the theme “Understanding the Legal Aspects of Credit Guarantees in Rural Credit Institutions Across Kuta Sub-District” was held on Friday (July 25, 2025) at the LPD Kedonganan Meeting Room, Kuta, organized by the FH Unud Team in collaboration with the LPD Cooperation Body (BKS) of Kuta Sub-District.
The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) session featured a speaker, Dr. Made Gde Subha Karma Resen, S.H., M.Kn (Head of the Undergraduate Program in Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Udayana), who presented on “Article 3 of the Civil Code is an article that cannot eliminate civil rights unless the person in question has passed away. Absolute Rights (property and law) are inherent in the property itself and are protected by law, specifically Inheritance Rights.”
I Wayan Adi Purnama Sriada, SH., M.Kn (Notary) stated, “The objects of collateral and property (in the form of reference, deroit de suite, and accessory) include land, movable property, HT, and fiduciary. The creation of collateral does not occur automatically but requires a prior agreement between the creditor and the debtor (Credit Agreement).” I Gde Edi Budiputra, S.H., M.H. (Attorney) stated, “Credit defaults at LPD can occur due to various factors, both from the internal side of LPD and from the debtor’s side. One example is the granting of credit to parties outside the traditional village, which later defaults. Resolution of defaulted credit cases (Credit Resolution Efforts, Legal Actions, Optimization of LPD) and Analysis of the 5Cs."
The Head of the LPD BKS for the Kuta Sub-District, in his remarks, expressed appreciation and hopes for continuing community service activities by conducting training sessions related to LPD governance.
