Darmasaba Village Development MBKM Team Socializes Communal Intellectual Property and Brand Registration

Badung, FLUNUD.ac.id - Saturday (25/05/2024) socialization activities were carried out at the Darmasaba Village Perbekel Office, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency by the Darmasaba Village Development MBKM Team regarding registration of Communal Intellectual Property (KIK) and Trademarks. The socialization was attended by the Badung Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA), Darmasaba Village Head, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Bendesa and the people of Darmasaba Village.

In his speech, the Perbekel of Darmasaba Village Ida Bagus Surya Prabhawa Manuaba, S.H., M.H. emphasized “the importance of KIK and trademark registration in Darmasaba Village so that the culture of ancestral traditions is preserved, recognized and gets legal protection. The series of socialization events presented speakers from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Research Team of FH UNUD (Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.H., LLM and Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM and several lecturers of FH UNUD), accompanying lecturers (Putu Rasmadi Arsha Putra, S.H., M.H.).

Speakers from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Putu Edi Wahyudi as a general functional analysis of Intellectual Property applications in the sub-field of Intellectual Property services) explained the trademark registration process. In addition, the Research Team of Faculty of Law UNUD explained the KIK of traditional cultural expressions and the importance of KIK registration. 

In addition to socialization, there was also a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which was divided into 2 groups to inventory KIK in Darmasaba Village. FGD Group A is Putu Edi Wahyudi together with MSMEs in Darmasaba village and FGD Group B consisting of Ketekok Jago Dance maestro accompanied by the FH UNUD Research Team.
