Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - Congratulations and success to I Made Adnyana, the New Doctor of Law Science Doctoral Study Program (PDIH) FH Unud who has successfully earned a Doctoral degree at the Doctoral Promotion session held on Monday (19/05/2025) at the Hall.

I Made Adnyana's Doctoral Dissertation entitled “Legal Protection Arrangements for Citizen Journalism in Strengthening Indonesian Democracy” was defended in front of the Chief Examiner (Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, SH., M.Hum), the Promoter Team (Prof. Dr. IB Wyasa Putra, SH., M.Hum; Prof. Dr. NK Supasti Dharmawan, SH., M.Hum; Dr. I Ketut Sudantra, SH., MH) and 4 other Examiner Lecturers. To support and protect citizen journalism and strengthen its role in strengthening Indonesian democracy, the government needs to immediately design regulations that provide legal protection for citizen journalists without hindering freedom of expression. The regulation of citizen journalism can be integrated into the Press Law or drafted as a separate regulation that clearly regulates the rights and obligations of citizen journalists.
