INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AWARENESS AND OUTREACH IN BUKIAN VILLAGE

The Bukian Village Development Team of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University, organized an Intellectual Property Awareness and Outreach event on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The event took place on the second floor of the Bukian Village Office and was attended by all village officials, the Bali Traditional Village Council, all village chiefs of Bukian, all hamlet heads in Bukian Village, field-based faculty advisors, and the community, particularly intellectual property practitioners in Bukian Village.

This event served as the first step in fostering collaboration while raising public awareness regarding the importance of legal protection for works and innovations through intellectual property. The outreach session featured two speakers from academic and professional backgrounds: Dr. Made Aditya Pramana Putra, S.H., M.H., and Putu Edi Wahyudi, A.Md. S.Kom., M.H.

The event began with a welcome session for the Bina Desa Bukian students, followed by a presentation on intellectual property by the speakers. During the presentation, participants were provided with an overview of the basic concepts of intellectual property, as well as the procedures and practices for registration. The event also featured an active question-and-answer session, where participants could delve deeper into the information and discuss the potential of their own works.

Through this initiative, it is hoped that the residents of Bukian Village will gain a better understanding of the importance of intellectual property protection and be encouraged to develop and register their creative works and innovations, thereby generating legal and economic value.
