MBKM Bina Desa Ketewel Team: Plogging and Waste Management Education at TPS3R

Gianyar, FLUNUD.ac.id - The MBKM Bina Desa Ketewel 2024 team organized the Waste Management Reduce-Reuse-Recycle (TPS3R) program with the theme of the activity in the form of "Plogging in the framework of Environment Day & World Oceans Day and Source-Based Waste Management & Processing Counseling", which was held at Gumicik Beach, Ketewel District, Gianyar Regency and TPS3R Lestari Ketewel District, Gianyar Regency, on Saturday (08/06 / 2024). 

The activity was attended by the Head of Ketewel Village (Putu Gede Widya Kusuma Negara, S.H.), Bendesa Adat Ketewel (I Wayan Matra), Sabha Yowana Desa Ketewel, Karang Taruna Desa Ketewel, Gianyar Environmental Agency, Bumi Kita Organization, TPS 3R Ketewel Lestari, Bali Environmental Activists Forum and also Toltol Organization.

The purpose of this program is to provide education to the local community in the hope that they will be more aware and care about their surroundings, understand how to sort household waste properly. Furthermore, the community itself can sort waste and understand how to sort waste which in turn can be recycled according to its type. In addition to educating the local community on waste segregation, in commemoration of Environment Day and World Oceans Day, plogging and hatchling release activities were also held at Gumicik Beach, Ketewel District, Gianyar Regency.
