Starting from the preparation of a thesis, Gede Ananda Eka Putra, a student of the Faculty of Law of UNUD succeeded in fighting for the recording of Traditional Cultural Expressions (EBT) of Telek Dance Jumpai Village style to the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law (Kanwil Kemenkum) Bali because Telek Dance Jumpai Village style has not received legal protection.

This recording struggle is a follow-up and concrete step of the final project / thesis entitled “Implementation of Legal Protection of Telek Dance Jumpai Village Style as a Traditional Cultural Expression in Klungkung Regency”. The preparation of this thesis was guided by Supervisor 1 (Prof.Dr. Anak Agung Istri Ari Atu Dewi, SH., MH.) and Supervisor 2 (Pande Yogantara S., S.H., M.H.).

Gede Ananda Eka Putra explained that, “Jumpai Village style Telek Dance which is better known as Jumpai Telek Dance is a sacred dance that is held firmly across generations in Jumpai Village, Jumpai Telek Dance also has distinctive differences with Telek Dance in general. According to him, legal protection of Telek Jumpai Dance is very important to avoid imitation or plagiarism of copyrighted works. When there is an act of imitation, the custodian will find it easier to prove and file a claim because it already has evidence in the form of a Communal Intellectual Property (KIK) certificate with the recording number EBT512025000075 “. In addition, the reason he registered EBT was because of his concern for Balinese culture and traditions, EBT protection can be an effort to maintain cultural diversity and maintain the integrity of a region's identity.
