Towards International Accreditation of FIBAA: FH UNUD Organizes Workshop on Improving HR Competencies Towards Internationalization

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - A Workshop on Improving HR Competencies Towards Internationalization has been held in preparation for the participation of FH UNUD in FIBAA international accreditation, on Tuesday 25/07/2023 at Harris Hotels & Convention, Jl. Cokroaminoto No. 22-25, Pemecutan Kaja, North Denpasar. The activity began with the submission of a report from the Chairman of the Committee (Putu Edgar Tanaya, SH., MH), and continued with the provision of remarks as well as the opening of activities by the Dean of FH UNUD (Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, S.H., M.Hum). Also present as participants in this activity were the Chairman of the Senate of FH UNUD (Dr. I Dewa Gede Palguna, S.H., M.Hum), Vice Deans, Koprodi Bachelor (S1) Law Science, Koprodi Doctoral (S3) Law Science, Head of Administration, Sub-Coordinator of educational staff, FIBAA Task Force Team, Harmonizing Team and lecturers of FH UNUD.

In the first session of the workshop, the Head of the Task Force of the Bachelor (S1) of Law Study Program, Master (S2) of Law Study Program, Doctoral (S3) of Law Study Program and the Harmonizing Team conveyed the objectives and progress of FIBAA international accreditation preparation.  Followed by inviting 3 speakers in the second session. Luh Putu Yeyen Karista, S.H., LLM (Alumni of S1 Law Study Program) and continued her studies at the Master of Law Faculty of Law Maastricht University, the Netherlands; Bagus Hermanto, S.H., M.H. (Alumni of S1 and S2 Law Study Programs) who produced many Scopus indexed journal articles; from Dr. Putu Ayu Sriasih Wesna, S.H., M.Kn. (Alumni of S1 and S3 Law Study Programs) is the Secretary of the Master of Kenotariatan Postgraduate Program at Warmadewa University.

The three speakers conveyed their experiences during their education at the Faculty of Law including suggestions for increasing internationalization at FH UNUD, such as increasing the number of international cooperation in the field of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi, the use of English in delivering lecture material, lecture methods using project-based so that the output produces more scientific articles and legal documents. The suggestions given by alumni are certainly very valuable for curriculum improvement in the three study programs.

The third session as the last session was a review of the Self Evaluation Report document by the leaders to improve the narrative and supporting data.  FIBAA preparation does not stop here but continues until the FIBAA assessment schedule is carried out.
