Gianyar, FLUNUD.ac.id – The MBKM Bina Desa Ketewel 2025 Team successfully organized the “Upgrading Paralegals and Kadarkum” activity on Monday (May 26, 2025) at the Meeting Room of the Ketewel Village Office. The event, themed “Enhancing the Competencies of Paralegals and Kadarkum in Dispute Resolution Through Mediation,” was officially opened by the Village Head of Ketewel (I Putu Gede Widya Kusuma Negara, S.H.), accompanied by the Coordinator of the S1 Law Program at FH Unud (Dr. Made Gde Subha Karma Resen, S.H., M.Kn), and the Field Supervisor for Ketewel Village Development (I Ketut Sudiarta, S.H., M.H).

The event featured two professional speakers: Ratih Rosmayuani, S.Sos., M.H. (Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Bali Regional Office), and Dimas Setiaji Widodo, S.H., M.H. (National Land Agency, Gianyar Regency). Both speakers presented materials related to the role of Paralegals and Kadarkum in resolving disputes through mediation approaches, as well as practical applications and challenges in the field. The event was conducted in several sessions: main material presentation, interactive discussion, and a question-and-answer session with participants.

As part of efforts to assess and enhance participants' competencies, the activity also included pre-tests and post-tests administered to all Paralegals and Kadarkum members before and after the main presentation sessions. Through this activity, it is hoped that participants will not only gain conceptual insights but also enhance their practical capacity to facilitate effective, fair, and socially just non-litigious dispute resolution at the village level.
