Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id – On Friday (August 22, 2025), the We Are Equal program held an outreach event with the theme “Land Lease Agreements for Village Compounds in Bali” at RRI Pro 1 Denpasar. The speakers were Dr. I Dewa Ayu Dwi Mayasari, SH., MH. and Gusti Ayu Arya Prima Dewi, SH., MH., hosted by Hari Sukma.

Village land is land owned by the traditional village, whose control is given to the traditional village community to be used as a place of residence with obligations attached to the land in accordance with the local traditional village regulations. With the passage of time, village land has gained economic value, especially in tourist areas, so many members of the traditional village community rent out their village land. The process of leasing village land in Bali by village residents to tenants is often carried out without the permission of the traditional village, which has full rights to the land. Of course, in the future, these agreements can cause problems, namely that the agreements can be canceled. Therefore, in making agreements for the lease of village land, ideally, the approval of the traditional village is required and the agreement is made in writing (authentic deed).
