Cooperation FGD between Ministry of Health, Collegium Jurist Institute and FH UNUD: Health Bill

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - FH UNUD in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) and the Collegium Jurist Institute (KJI) held an online Focus Group Discussion (FGD) through the zoom platform and Youtube Live Streaming on Monday (03/04/2023) with the topic "Public Participation of the Draft Health Bill (RUU)."

The FGD lasted for 2 hours and was attended by 173 participants in the zoom meeting and 36 people through Youtube live streaming including lecturers and students from FH UNUD and UNUD Postgraduate Health Law Master Program. At the event, the Indonesian Minister of Health (Ir. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, CHFC, CLU) gave a welcoming speech. There are 4 speakers who provide material, namely: Dr. Ibnu Sina Chandranegara, S.H., M.H. (Academician and Constitutional Law Expert), Prof. Dr. Budi Sampurna, DFM., S.H., Sp.F (K), SpKp (Health Law Expert and Professor of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia), Dr. I Nyoman Bagiastra, S.H., M.H and representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. 

The House of Representatives (DPR) RI has established the Health Bill in the National Legislation Program, as a Priority Bill for the Year 2023 initiative of the DPR RI. The omnibus law method is needed in the Health Bill with the aim of achieving rationality to improve the health status of the Indonesian people and the nation's competitiveness. The Health Bill will create health services that focus on efforts to prevent people from getting sick, make it easier for people to get quality health services, increase independence in producing pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices. Also prepare the community to face health crises, increase the efficiency of health financing, increase the production of qualified medical personnel and health workers.
