Gianyar, FLUNUD.ac.id - On Saturday, (01/06/2024), the MBKM Team of Bina Desa Pering held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Intellectual Property Rights with the theme “Recording Communal Intellectual Property Rights of Paso Crafts in Pering Village.” This activity was held in the Meeting Hall of the Pering Village Office. This Focus Group Discussion was opened directly by Taufan Meyanto (Perbekel Desa Pering), attended by Bendesa adat, Kelian Dinas, pottery craftsmen, STT in Pering Village environment, Putu Edgar Tanaya S.H., M.H (Field Assistance Lecturer).

This FGD invited 4 resource persons: I Made Delon Mahayana, S.H., M.H (Kemenkumham Regional Office of Bali), Drs. I Ketut Sedana, M.AP (Head of BRIDA Section of Gianyar Regency), Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.Hum., LLM.(Professor of Intellectual Property FH UNUD) and Putu Aras Samsithawrati S.H., LLM.(Lecturer of Intellectual Property FH UNUD).

The purpose of the FGD is to protect and provide legal certainty related to Paso Craft Intellectual Property in Pering Village. After the FGD ended, it was followed by a follow-up review event held at the Banjar Peranngsada Pottery Craftsman House, Pering Village. This action review aims to show how the process of making paso is still made in the traditional way.
