I Gusti Ayu Jatiana Manik Wedanti Earns Doctoral Degree at PSDIH FH Unud

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - Friday (12/07/2024) an Open Doctoral Promotion Examination was held at the Doctoral Study Program (S3) of Law Science (PSDIH) FH Unud on behalf of I Gusti Ayu Jatiana Manik Wedanti who works as an educator (Lecturer) at the State Hindu University I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar. Promovenda in the Doctoral promotion raised a dissertation entitled "Reconceptualization of Purusa and Pradana in Inheritance According to Balinese Customary Law".

The new doctor of law, I Gusti Ayu Jatiana Manik Wedanti raised 3 problem formulations, namely: (1) What is the nature of purusa and pradana in Balinese inheritance customary law, (2) How are purusa and pradana regulated in Balinese inheritance customary law today? And (3) Why the reconceptualization of purusa and pradana in inheritance according to Balinese inheritance customary law? The results of the analysis of the three problem formulations above were successfully defended before an open session chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University, who is also the Co-Promoter 1 (Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumertayasa, S.H., M.Hum) with the Promoter Team (Prof. Dr. I Wayan Windia, S.H., M.Si; Dr. I Ketut Sudantra, S.H., M.H), external examiners from the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University (Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, SH., M.Hum) who attended in person and 4 other examining lecturers.
