Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - As an initial step in implementing international cooperation between FH UNUD and the Research Center for International Transactions and Law (RECITAL) Doshisha University-Japan, FH UNUD was invited as a participant in the 2nd Doshisha Oxford Lecture Series with the topic "Asian Contract Laws: Transplants, Convergences, Divergences & Mutations." This activity was organized by RECITAL Doshisha University and the Oxford Programme in Asian Laws - Faculty of Law Oxford University in a hybrid manner on Tuesday (04/04/2023).

The activity was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Doshisha University, Prof. Rikhisa Masayuki. As for the sole speaker at the lecture series, Mindy Chen-Wishart, Professor in the field of contract law who is also the Dean at the Faculty of Law Oxford University. Prof. Mindy said that contract law in several Asian countries is derived from European legal systems: English, German and French. Countries in Asia transplanted contract law from these countries in various ways: copying directly (just like the original law), harmonizing it with existing traditions or combining contract law from the civil law system and the common law system.

FH UNUD lecturers and students who take Contract Drafting Law, International Contract Law and Contract Drafting Law Clinic are very enthusiastic about participating in the Lecture Series online through the zoom meeting platform because the material provided is very interesting and in accordance with the development of contract law.
