Lecturer Ida Bagus Erwin Ranawijaya Receives Doctoral Degree

Ida Bagus Erwin Ranawijaya is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law Unud in the International Law Lab/Section. He successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Model of Regulating Regional Economic Potential Development in Realizing Sustainable Bali Development" well at the Doctoral Promotion on August 26, 2022 at the Faculty of Law Unud Hall. The Doctoral Promotion was led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Unud and attended by the Promoter Team, namely: Prof. Dr. I Putu Sudarma Sumadi, SH., SU, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Suyatna, SH., MH, Dr. I Wayan Wiryawan, SH., MH, and 4 other examiners. The dissertation written by this new doctor writes a Concept Model for the Development of Diversification of Regional Economic Potential for Realizing Sustainable Bali Development. In terms of legal substance, the addition of norms in the revision of the Law on the Regional Development Planning System is then redefined in the Regional Regulation on Regional Development Plans, either Long-Term, Medium-Term or Annual. Norms regarding the diversification of the development of regional economic potential must include the right to decent work for the entire community and is sustainable. From the legal structure, the nomenclature of the Regional Development Planning Agency must be changed to the Planning Agency for Control and Evaluation of Regional Development so as to provide firmness on the functions and authorities of the said institution. Meanwhile, from the legal culture, the wider community, including indigenous peoples, must be given an understanding of the sustainable development paradigm by diversifying the regional economic potential, so that their welfare will be achieved in the long term.
