LKBH FH UNUD Conducts Free Legal Aid Counseling at Class IIB Gianyar Detention Center

Gianyar, FLUNUD.ac.id - Monday (05/09/2023) The Legal Consultation & Assistance Institute (LKBH) FH UNUD held a free legal aid counseling at the Gianyar Class IIB Detention Center. This activity is a series of 61st Anniversary of Udayana University and 59th Faculty of Law Family Agency. 

The activity was opened by the Chairman of BKFH UNUD, A.A. Ngurah Oka Yudistira Darmadi, S.H., M.H. who in this case represented the Dean of FH UNUD. Legal counseling by LKBH FH UNUD presented 2 speakers from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bali, namely: Ratih Rosmayuani, S.Sos, M.H. and I Gede Adi Saputra, S.H. M.H., and 1 academic resource person Dr. I Nyoman Prabu Buana Rumiartha, SH. M.H. (Head of LKBH FH UNUD).

This activity involves the participation of academics and students in the UNUD Faculty of Law to provide understanding to prisoners and detainees related to the fulfillment of legal aid rights to access justice and the constitutional rights of citizens in accordance with the principle of equality before the law.  The prisoners and detainees were very enthusiastic about participating in the activities and consulted directly regarding the legal problems they were facing.  On this occasion it was also conveyed, that the free legal aid offered by LKBH FH is not only limited to prisoners or detainees in Class IIB Gianyar Detention Center, but also open to the general public in need.
