Media Literacy Campaign: Understanding the Negative Impact of Social Media on Teenagers

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id – The Criminal Law Community (CLC) Goes To School 2024 activity took place on Thursday (12/5/2024) at SMAN 7 Denpasar with the theme "Media Literacy Campaign: Understanding the Negative Impacts of Social Media on Teenagers".


CLC Goes To School 2024 invited 1 (one) resource person, namely: Gusti Ayu Arya Prima Dewi, S.H, M.H (Lecturer at FH Unud). This activity was guided by a moderator (Gita Meli Pernanda Tambunan) and a facilitator (Gede Budi Candra Dinata). CLC Goes To School 2024 discussed the negative impacts of social media on teenagers. From SMAN 7 Denpasar, the Principal (Cokorda Gede Anom Wiratmaja, S.Pd., M.Pd.), Vice Principal for Public Relations (Dra. Ni Nyoman Sri Watiasih), Chairman of OSIS (Made Dwijendra Raja Bumi) and students of Class XI were also present.


It is known that the negative impact of social media on teenagers can cause decreased productivity and mental health. In addition, social media can reduce direct interaction with people around them, thus disrupting social life in the real world. Through this activity, it is also hoped that teenagers can understand the proper use of social media and can use social media wisely.
