Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - Desak Agung Made Megawati who works as a Notary successfully earned her doctorate with a dissertation entitled “Reconstruction of the Arrangement for Attaching Fingerprints to the Notary Deed Minute.” It was held on Tuesday (08/07/2025) at the FH Hall of UNUD Denpasar Campus.
The Doctoral Promotion was led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University (Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, S.H., M.Hum) accompanied by the Promoter Team: Prof. Dr. I Made Subawa, S.H., M.S., Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Suyatna, S.H., M.H., Dr. I Nyoman Bagiastra, S.H., M.H. as well as external examiners namely Prof. Dr. Busyra Azheri, S.H., M.Hum., and 3 other examining lecturers.
The results show that the regulation of attaching fingerprints to the deed minutes serves to anticipate signature enhancement by the confrontant. Notaries who do not attach fingerprints to the deed minutes can be sanctioned. Reconstruction of the regulation of fingerprint attachment to the deed minutes is carried out by changing the formulation of Article 16 paragraph (1) letter c of UUJNP and making implementing regulations that contain technical provisions. Novelti in this dissertation offers a reconstruction of the legal name of the article that regulates the obligation to attach fingerprints, which is considered vague and multi-interpretive. The author proposes standardization of mechanisms such as: the finger used, the type of ink, and the procedure for attachment, which has never been regulated before.
