Opening of CMCT 2023 Series of Activities, Constitutional Moot Court Training Forum at FH UNUD

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - On Sunday (21/05/2023) the Constitutional Moot Court Training (CMCT) 2023 was held which was also the opening of the CMCT 2023 series of events. This activity is a forum for constitutional moot court training for FH UNUD students organized by the Udayana Moot Court Community (UMCC). CMCT 2023 activities raised the theme "The Role of the Guardian of Constitution in Protecting Citizens' Constitutional Rights through Judicial Review". This seminar was held in the Hall of FH UNUD, with a total of 20 participants who will be divided into 4 delegations. 

The implementation of the seminar began with the report of the committee chairman, remarks by the chairman of UMCC, remarks by the UMCC advisor, remarks by the Vice Dean III FH UNUD (Dr. I Made Sarjana, S.H., M.H.) who also opened the activity by beating the gong. Followed by a material presentation session by speakers who are lecturers of FH UNUD, namely: Dr. I Dewa Gede Palguna, S.H., M.Hum. with material on Constitutional Procedure, Bima Kumara Dwi Atmaja, S.H., M.H. delivered material on Constitutional Rights in the 1945 Constitution (Including the Right to Freedom of Expression and Expression). Then it was closed by the third speaker, I Gusti Agung Ayu Dike Widhiyaastuti, S.H., M.H., with the material on the Offense of Insulting the President and / or Vice President in the Perspective of Criminal Law (KUHP 2023). 

During the seminar, participants actively asked questions and discussed the material presented. Through the CMCT 2023 seminar and its series of activities, it is hoped that FH UNUD students can explore their potential and develop it, especially in the field of Constitutional Law. In addition, the implementation of CMCT 2023 which raises the topic of judicial review of laws based on the 1945 Constitution can provide learning and an overview of the judicial review scheme in the Constitutional Court. It is also expected to foster new seeds of achievement for FH UNUD in the field of constitutional moot court and other constitutional competitions. The series of CMCT 2023 activities will continue with the preparation of judicial review application files by the participants, then there will be small classes twice, and will be closed with internal mooting or trials held at the end of June 2023.
