PSDIH Social Service in Kelan: Community Participation in the Preparation and Supervision of Tourism Areas in the Bali Provincial Spatial Plan

Badung, FLUNUD.ac.id - On Friday (14/06/2024), the Doctor of Law Study Program, Faculty of Law, Udayana University (PSDIH FH UNUD), held a social service with the theme "Community Participation in the Preparation and Supervision of Tourism Areas in the Regional Spatial Plan of Bali Province" located in Kelan Village, Kuta District, Badung Regency. This social service activity was attended by the Deputy Bendesa Adat Kelan, Prajuru Desa, Prajuru Banjar Kelan Desa and Banjar Kelan Abian, Kelan Village Tourism Awareness Group as well as village krama and PS DIH FH UNUD students. 

The activity which was opened by the Coordinator of PSDIH FH UNUD Prof. Dr. I Putu Sudarma Sumadi, SH, SU presented 3 (three) speakers namely: Kadek Krisma Agus Trimitha, SH, M.Kn, a student of PS DIH FH UNUD who also works as a Notary / PPAT, I Gusti Agung Andra Sanjaya (Chairman of the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) Kelan Village, and I Gusti Ngurah Parikesit Widiatedja, SH, M.Hum, LLM, Ph.D from academia.

The social service was intended to raise awareness of the importance of community participation in the process of organizing tourism and spatial planning, especially for residents in areas with great tourism potential such as Kelan Village, which is currently going viral, because it has the only beach where visitors and tourists can watch the sunset while watching airplanes take off and land because Kelan Village is the back porch of Ngurah Rai International Airport.
