Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - The Master of Kenotariatan (MKN) Study Program of FH UNUD held a Public Lecture on Friday (31/05/2024) at the Denpasar Campus Video Conference Room with the theme “Deed of Agreement in the Field of Intellectual Property” by inviting Prof. dr. Insan Budi Maulana, S.H., LLM as a speaker. 

The public lecture was attended by Koprodi MKN FH UNUD (Prof. Dr. Made Subawa, S.H., M.S.), Professor of FH UNUD in the Field of Intellectual Property (Prof. Dr. N.K. Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.Hum., LLM), Coordinator of Information Management and Cooperation Unit, Intellectual Property Teaching Team, several lecturers of FH UNUD and students of MKN FH UNUD.

The material presented was very relevant to the role of the notary as the maker of the deed of agreement.In its development, there are many hotels, travel, dining establishments that are established using a franchise and license system.The use of the business system is certainly outlined in a deed of agreement. In a franchise or license there is intellectual property (can be a brand, patent, copyright, trade secret or other types of intellectual property). An intellectual property can be transferred so that it is necessary to make a Deed of Transfer of Intellectual Property Rights and can be used as a fiduciary guarantee which needs to be stated in the Fiduciary Guarantee Deed. This is where the role of a notary is indispensable so that the deed of agreement made by the parties involved can provide benefits and guarantee legal certainty.
