Representatives of Unud Faculty of Law Attend Discussion on Armed Conflict at Sea Organized by ICRC

Jakarta, FLUNUD.ac.id – Representatives of FH Unud Lecturers (Dr. Tjokorda Istri Diah Widyantari Pradnya Dewi, SH., M.H) participated in the National Stakeholders Discussion held in collaboration between the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at the Sari Pacific Hotel, Jakarta, on October 14-16, 2025, with the topic “Neutral States under the 1949 Geneva Conventions and Other Instruments: Legal, Practical, and Humanitarian Considerations in Armed Conflicts at Sea.”
The participation of Unud Faculty of Law lecturers as active participants in this discussion is one form of implementation of the cooperation between the Unud Faculty of Law and the ICRC in the field of education. Various parties attended this discussion, including the Director of Law and International Agreements of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ICRC Legal Advisor, lecturers from the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University, and representatives from the Indonesian Navy. The purpose of this discussion was to provide an understanding of the concept of international humanitarian law in armed conflicts at sea from the perspective of neutral states and to mitigate the humanitarian impact of warfare at sea.
