Social Service for Doctoral Degree in Legal Studies at the Law UNUD in Kelan Traditional Village

Social Service was held by the Doctoral Program in Law, FH Unud on October 8, 2022 with the theme “Socialization of Legal Protection for Bendega and Coastal Communities in Supporting Legal Aspects of Tourism. The social service was carried out in Bale Banjar, Kelan Abian, Kelan Traditional Village, Tuban-Badung Village. The event was opened directly by Koprodi Doctoral Doctor of Law, Faculty of Law Unud, Prof. Dr. I Putu Sudarma Sumadi, SH, SU and presented 2 (two) resource persons, namely: Jero Bendesa Adat Kelan, I Wayan Sukerena, SE and Jero Bendesa Adat Pagan as well as alumni of the Doctoral Program in Law, Faculty of Law Unud, Dr. Wayan Subawa, SH, MH The socialization of legal protection was attended by the Chairperson and the TPPM Team for Doctoral Law Studies Study Program, Faculty of Law Unud, representatives of study programs students, Unud students who were doing KKN in the area, Kelan Traditional Village officials and their residents. Jero Bendesa Adat Kelan conveyed the condition of the region and the Kelan people living on the coast. The Kelan Indigenous People who originally had a livelihood as fishermen have shifted to workers in the Ngurah Rai Airport area. So that the work as fishermen was replaced by migrants from Java. Jero Bendesa Adat Pagan conveyed the legal protection that can be given to karma bendega and coastal communities (including migrants) to support tourism development in the Kelan Traditional Village. Because as is well known, Kelan Beach is one of the natural attractions with water sports games such as Jetski (water sport) and is equipped with seafood culinary tours that are on the rise.
