Peguyangan, FLUNUD.ac.id - The Civil Law Clinic of FH Unud held a Street Law Socialization activity on Saturday (14/06/2025) with the topic “Consumer Protection in Online Buying and Selling” which took place at Balai Banjar Tunjung Sari, Peguyangan. The activity was attended by the Head of Tunjung Sari Hamlet (I Komang Sugatha), the Lecturers of the Civil Law Clinic Course (Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.Hum., LLM., Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM., and Putri Triari Dwijayanthi, S.H., M.H.), and the people of Banjar Tunjung Sari.

This activity aims to increase public legal awareness regarding consumer rights and obligations in online buying and selling transactions that are increasingly prevalent in the digital era. The socialization was packaged in the form of material presentation, interactive discussion, and quiz session. In the discussion session, the community conveyed various experiences and questions about online buying and selling. As stated by Mrs. Sriasih, “Online is easy and convenient, but sometimes because of discounts we rush to buy things, especially if we don't understand how it works.”

Another topic that attracted attention was the use of the paylater payment method. One member of the public asked about sanctions if consumers fail to pay. Prof. Supasti emphasized that "the inability to pay is a default because the agreement has been agreed upon from the beginning. Therefore, consumers must be wise before choosing the payment method."

This activity not only provides legal understanding to the public, but also opens a space for interactive and educative dialogue on various actual issues surrounding online buying and selling. Through this activity, it is hoped that the public will be more careful and wise in digital transactions to avoid losses and disputes.
