Gianyar, FLUNUD.ac.id – To enhance awareness and understanding of traffic safety from an early age, students participating in the MBKM Bina Desa Temesi program collaborated with the Gianyar Police Station to conduct a traffic safety awareness campaign specifically targeting elementary school students. The two-day event was held at SD 1 Temesi and SD 2 Temesi on May 21 and May 24, 2025, with the aim of providing comprehensive education on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and ensuring safety on the roads. The campaign was led by Iptu I Gede Sudwieka from the Gianyar Police Station, who presented materials on traffic regulations that all road users must understand and follow, as well as traffic safety measures as preventive steps to avoid accidents. The materials were presented using an approach that was easy for children to understand, employing interactive methods that captured the students' attention, ensuring the safety messages were effectively conveyed.

This activity received full support from various parties. Present were Dewa Gede Pradnya Yustiawan, S.H., M.H. (Field Supervisor), I Ketut Branayoga, S.E. (Village Head of Temesi), Babinsa Temesi as the TNI representative at the village level, and Bhabinkamtibmas Temesi as the Polri representative at the village level. The presence of these figures and officials demonstrates a shared commitment to creating a safe and orderly environment, particularly in terms of road safety.

Through this awareness program, it is hoped that students will understand the importance of adhering to traffic signs, practicing safe behavior on the road, and becoming agents of change who can spread road safety awareness to their families and surrounding communities. The collaboration between MBKM Bina Desa students and the Gianyar Police Station serves as a concrete example of how synergies among various parties can create programs beneficial to the community, particularly in shaping the character and awareness of children as the nation's future generation. This program is hoped to be the first step in building a culture of traffic discipline starting from the younger generation, so that in the future, traffic accident rates can be minimized and road user safety can be well-maintained.
