Unud Faculty of Law Lecturers Serve as Resource Persons at Lecture on Countering Radicalism, Intolerance, and LGBT Sexual Deviance at Bali Police Headquarters

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id – A lecture on countering radicalism, intolerance, and LGBT sexual orientation deviations was held on Thursday (07/08/2025) at the Bali Police Headquarters Precision Building. The event was conducted both in-person and online by all police personnel at the Bali Police Headquarters as part of the PNPP Bali Police Headquarters capacity-building program, aimed at strengthening national ideology to prevent the spread of intolerant, radical religious ideologies and sexual orientation deviations.
The event was opened by Kompol I Ketut Suastika, S.H., M.H. (Head of the Sub-Division for Human Resources Development, Personnel Division, Bali Police Headquarters) with speakers from the Faculty of Law, Udayana University: Dr. I Made Walesa, SH., M.Kn, Dr. Ayu Putu Laksmi Danyathi, SH., M.Kn, Gusti Ayu Arya Prima Dewi, SH., MH, I Gede Perdana Yoga, SH., MH, and representatives from the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI) of Bali Province.
Understanding national ideology, radicalism, intolerance, and sexual orientation deviations is crucial for all police personnel to know and comprehend, as the police serve as the frontline force in preventing and firmly addressing such issues when they arise, thereby ensuring public safety and order.
