COMMUNITY SERVICE: FORMATION OF LEGAL ENTITIES FOR THREE TURTLE CONSERVATION GROUPS AND STRENGTHENING OF NATURAL TOURISM FACILITY PROVISION BUSINESSES IN TANJUNG BENOA

[Tanjung Benoa, Badung], FHUNUD.ac.id – Friday, July 24, 2026 – As an effort to strengthen institutional governance for community groups engaged in turtle conservation and natural tourism management, an initiative titled "Formation of Legal Entities for Three Turtle Conservation Groups and Strengthening of Natural Tourism Facility Provision Businesses in Tanjung Benoa" was successfully held. This activity is part of a Community Service Program led by Dr. Made Gde Subha Karma Resen, S.H., M.Kn.

This initiative aims to provide legal certainty for turtle conservation groups, granting them a strong legal standing to carry out conservation activities, establish partnerships with both government and private sectors, access aid and funding, and develop natural tourism facility provision businesses grounded in conservation and sustainability principles.

The program was attended by various stakeholders holding strategic roles in coastal area conservation, including the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA), Tahura Ngurah Rai, the Association of Bali Turtle Conservation Groups, and the Coastal and Marine Resources Management Center (BPSPL). The presence of these institutions demonstrates a shared commitment to strengthening synergy among the government, academia, and the community to safeguard turtles and coastal ecosystems in Tanjung Benoa.

During the event, speakers emphasized the importance of legal entity status as a foundation for community groups to execute conservation activities professionally, transparently, and accountably. With clear legal standing, these groups are expected to enhance organizational capacity, expand partnerships, and develop ecotourism activities that generate economic benefits for the community without compromising environmental protection efforts.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the three turtle conservation groups in Tanjung Benoa will become institutionally stronger and serve as a model for sustainable, community-based conservation management, while simultaneously supporting the development of natural tourism aligned with the preservation of biological resources in Bali Province.
