Faculty of Law Udayana University Holds 2026 Musrenbang: Emphasizes Budget Efficiency and KPI-Based Program Innovation

DENPASAR — The Faculty of Law, Udayana University (FH Unud), held its Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) on Thursday, July 17, 2026, on the FH Unud campus. The annual event was attended by the Deanery, Vice Deans I and II, Study Program Coordinators, and student organization representatives to evaluate the previous year's activities while formulating policy directions and budget ceilings for 2027.

The event opened with remarks from the Dean of FH Unud, who provided a comprehensive evaluation while emphasizing that the new working system and budget instruments are now being applied more strictly. Despite tighter spending regulations, the Dean stressed that these conditions should not dampen the academic community's spirit of innovation. Each Study Program Coordinator was encouraged to deliver new breakthroughs rather than merely repeating last year's programs, as well as to ensure that all activities are grounded in clear Operational Activity Guidelines (POK). As a mark of mutual commitment, the opening session also featured the signing of performance agreements between the Dean and the Study Program Coordinators.

During the technical presentation, Vice Dean I proposed a specific mapping of budget managers to clarify duty allocations across work units. Meanwhile, Vice Dean II highlighted the low budget absorption rate in the second quarter (Q2), which was driven by mid-course plan changes and several locked POK guidelines, particularly regarding procurement schemes. Vice Dean II also reminded attendees of the importance of proper expenditure governance and announced that the meeting package policy has now been officially abolished at both the study program and deanery levels.

The discussion session proceeded interactively, gathering various inputs from study programs and student organizations. The Master of Notary Public Program focused on re-accreditation preparations and the release of examiner honorariums, the Undergraduate Program highlighted the optimization of Key Performance Indicators (KPI 3) and international journal publications, while the Doctoral Program pushed for classroom facility improvements in anticipation of an influx of new students. On the student side, the Student Representative Council (DPM) and the Student Executive Board (BEM) proposed relocating activities to the main campus for cost efficiency, installing additional CCTV cameras, repairing access roads to the Jimbaran campus, and upgrading projector and sound system facilities. These were further complemented by aspirations from SCIL and ALSA regarding competition budget adjustments.

Concluding the Musrenbang proceedings, the Dean of FH Unud reaffirmed the institution's commitment to supporting the input received. The Dean assured that all work programs that contribute directly to enhancing and achieving the faculty's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will remain prioritized and fully supported for execution.
