PUBLIC HEARING ON THE DRAFT LAW ON THE INDONESIAN INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CENTER

Denpasar—The Faculty of Law at Udayana University held a Meaningful Public Participation Hearing on the Discussion of the Draft Law on the Indonesian International Financial Center in collaboration with the Directorate General of Legislation of the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Kertha Sabha Convention Hall, Faculty of Law, Udayana University, on Monday (July 6, 2026)

The Meaningful Public Participation Hearing on the Draft Law on the Indonesian International Financial Center (PFII Bill) aims to gather input, perspectives, and recommendations from academics, practitioners, business leaders, professional organizations, associations, and the public regarding the substance of the regulations in the PFII Bill as a manifestation of the public’s right to be heard. The keynote speaker at this event was Dr. Dhahana Putra, S.H., M.Si (Director General of Legislation at the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia). The speakers at this event were: Dr. Muhammad Fatahillah Akbar, S.H., LL.M., a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University; Dr. Hendry Julian Noor, S.H., M.Kn. Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University; Hendra Kurnia Putra, Director of Legislative Drafting at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia; Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, S.H., M.H., Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Udayana University; Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, S.H., M.Hum., Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Udayana University; and Dr. Jimmy Z. Usfunan, S.H., M.H., Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Udayana University.
Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., Vice Rector 3 of Udayana University, delivered opening remarks and officially opened the event. On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumertayasa, SH., M.Hum., also delivered remarks and reported on the implementation of this event. Also present at this event were the associate deans of the Faculty of Law at Udayana University, the heads of study programs, and faculty members of the Faculty of Law at Udayana University.
